Your shelf comes alive
Snap one photo of your products — Glossa reads the labels and sets everything out on the shelf. The room changes with the light: pale gold in the morning, a plum dusk in the evening.
A ritual, not a checklist
Each step plays its own quiet animation in the mirror. Streaks are gentle and diamonds are earned, never bought. And if you skip a day, nothing scolds you here.
Your routine stays on your iPhone
No accounts, no analytics. Your products, your notes and your history live on your device — yours to export, yours to delete.
One thing does travel, and only when you ask for it: the photo you take of your shelf. It is sent to a recognition service that reads the labels and sends back a list of products — we do not store it, and the service deletes what it receives automatically within 30 days. Type your products instead and nothing goes anywhere at all. The details are in the privacy policy.
Product names come from open data
When you type a product name, Glossa suggests one from a catalog built on Open Beauty Facts, a community database of cosmetics made available under the Open Database License (ODbL). Our catalog is published under the same license, and you can read it here: catalog.json.
Once a day the app asks whether that file has changed and, if it has, downloads the whole thing. The request carries nothing about you — no account, no identifier, and never what you are typing. Downloading the entire catalog is exactly what keeps your search on your iPhone.
